Comprehensive Vestibular Medicine and Rehabilitation Training for Physicians and Physical Therapists

Introduction & Objective

Vestibular disorders, including dizziness, vertigo, and balance dysfunctions, are among the most common yet underdiagnosed and poorly managed conditions. The biggest problem with managing dizzy patients is that there is a lack of comprehensive management and knowledge from healthcare practitioners. Patients with these issues often experience a significant decline in their quality of life, compounded by healthcare professionals’ lack of expertise in vestibular care.

This course aims to equip physicians and physical therapists with the knowledge and skills needed to accurately diagnose, manage, and rehabilitate patients with vestibular disorders, including peripheral and central vestibular disorders.

By bridging the current gap in education, we aim to improve patient outcomes and provide more holistic, evidence-based care.

Vestibular Medicine and Rehabilitation Training

Why This Course Is Essential

Prevalence of Vestibular Disorders in the Middle East

Vestibular dysfunction affects millions globally and is a leading cause of dizziness, chronic symptoms associated to secondary mood disorders and falls, especially in older adults. In the Middle East the prevalence is as any other part of the world with roughly 15% of the population above 40, experiencing dizziness once in their life time.

Lack of Awareness and Training

Many healthcare professionals lack adequate training in diagnosing and treating vestibular disorders, leading to mismanagement or delayed care.

Interdisciplinary Approach

Effective care requires collaboration between physicians, who handle diagnostics, and physical therapists, who oversee rehabilitation. Promoting a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to chronic dizziness especially.

Impact on Patients’ Lives

Proper vestibular management can significantly improve patients’ quality of life by reducing symptoms, enhancing balance, and restoring confidence in daily activities.
